Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic – Buoy Buddies
Overview
The Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic is located in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It celebrates the rich history of Canada’s North Atlantic fishery. They were looking for a campaign to invite families to enjoy the many interactive displays and child-friendly activities they have.
Strategic Solution
I created a series of characters based on fishing buoys, and called them “Buoy Buddies”. Each was given a nautical name from the phonetic alphabet, such as Foxtrot, Lima, Sierra, Tango and Echo.
A series of icons highlighted the range of fun activities.
