Mink Island – A screen-free retreat for loons
Overview
Mink Island is a small patch of wilderness that my family is slowly cultivating by hand into a screen-free place of connection – to each other and to the world. It is our perfectly impractical paradise!
Strategic Solution
The island is located on a lake in Queens County, Nova Scotia. When we camp there, we are treated to the haunting calls of the loons, so that became a natural companion to our slinky mink. As a designer, I could not help myself, and created a visual identity for us to apply to shirts, notebooks and banners. It’s part of making Mink Island our “Usland”.
